Part 1: In-Camera Depth of Field

Shallow Depth of Field (Portrait Mode)

Subject is sharp, background is blurry

I used a shallow depth of field for this image to isolate my dog. By using a wide aperture setting (Portrait Mode), I kept the foreground sharp while allowing the background to blur, creating a clear focal point on her.


Deep Depth of Field (City Landscape)

Everything from front to back is sharp

For this photo, I used a deep depth of field to ensure the entire scene remained in focus. By using a smaller aperture, I captured detail in both the immediate foreground and the distant horizon.
